DESCRIPTION
POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT is a paintable, flexible acrylic gap sealant, suitable for interior and exterior applications. The product is available in white.
 
SIZES AVAILABLE
Available in a 475g cartridge.
 
USES
POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT may be used for sealing gaps and joints where some movement is anticipated.
 
TECHNICAL FEATURES
 
• Excellent adhesion to timber, plasterboard, brick, glass, aluminium, ceramics, painted surfaces and many other building materials.
• Flexible - will withstand joint movement of +/- 10% of joint width. Suitable for those applications where slight movement causes hard fillers to crack and fall out.
• Paintable with water and oil based paints without need of priming. Please refer to Note†:
• Weatherproof - suitable for interior and exterior applications.
• Sag resistant.
• Easy to apply.
• Water clean-up.
• Low odour - can be used in any environment without discomfort.
 
LIMITATIONS
 
• POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT should not be applied below 5°C.
• POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT should not be stored below 0°C.
• POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT should not be used outside if rain is imminent. Once applied it should be protected from rain until firmly skinned.
• Not suitable for permanent water immersion or in constantly damp areas.
• Not suitable for sealing fine joints between tongue and groove boards or weatherboard overlaps.
 
WARNINGS/FIRST AID
 
• POLYFILLA* GAP SEALANT is considered to be of low hazard when used according to directions.
 
Note: Paints that shrink during drying may crack, eg. some water-based undercoats and flat paints. Test paint on a small section of sealant. The likelihood of paint cracking may be reduced by first:

(i) painting the sealant with vinyl/acrylic semi-gloss paint or oil-based undercoat and/or
(ii) allowing sealant to cure thoroughly before painting.
